I can't help but roll my eyes whenever I hear Republicans and their sympathizers use this argument against Trump's critics. They really don't want us to remember that the original McCarthy was one of them.

Prussiagate

"Besides, we interfered with their government after WWI, so do we really have any right to complain when they do the same to us?"

Guilty Suit

Pardoning war criminals is another one for that list of Trump things that are somehow both shocking and completely predictable.
